Twitter? Facebook? How about email?

Emal

In an interview with Entrepreneur.com Deputy Editor Teri Evans, Chris Brogan, popular blogger and president of Human Business Works, declares that email marketing is not dead. Despite all the buzz about social media, a stunning 91 percent of those over the age of 18 are willing to get marketing messages via email. According to Brogan, “Good email marketing is alive and well.” Brands need to make sure they segment their audiences and initiate personal contact rather than cramming everything into one message. Brogan also warns against graphics-heavy emails that are difficult to read on mobile devices. Another no-no? Sending messages from addresses that don’t accept replies. You should use a real email address and encourage customers to contact you.

What do you think? Is email marketing still part of your communication mix?
